Hello, I am Omar Faruk, working as a photojournalist, Portrait & lifestyle photographer and visual artist. I completed my academic study in B. A Hons and M.F.A (Drawing & Painting) from the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Chittagong. Besides my graduation, I completed a Diploma in photography from the Photo Art Institute, Photo Bank, Chattogram. I started my photographic career with “Fineartsbd” an online portal. I worked for Orange Visuals an advertising agency. Now working as a Government photographer at Chattogram Veterinary And Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Public Relations and publications Department. And renowned photo stock agency named Getty Images.

I am a founder of the Chattogram University Photographic Society.
My works have been exhibited in several group exhibitions both in Bangladesh and abroad..
The 7th Emirates Photography Competition, Organized by Abu Dhabi Culture Authority, “Chitromoy Chattala” photo exhibition, organized by The Daily Star. “Bakshir Haat” Documentary photography Presentation organized by Jog, Dhaka Art Center, “Climate change” organized by Student Climate cell, CUET. CPVA National Photo Contest, Beautiful Chittagong organized by PGBD, and many others.
My Work has been published in numerous national and international newspapers, magazines, and printed and web publications including Daily Star, prothom alo, kaaler kantha, Bangladesh Pratidin, Bdnews24, Azadi, purbakone, shupropath, National Geography magazine web site also.
